Why This Matters to Me

This program exists because of my son, Elias.

Elias has autism, and through our family's experiences, I've learned that something as simple as visiting a store can feel very different depending on a person's sensory needs. What may seem like an ordinary shopping trip for one family can be overwhelming for another because of bright lights, loud noises, or a busy environment.

As a parent, those experiences changed the way I see accessibility and reminded me that even small changes can make a meaningful difference. That's what inspired me to bring Sensory-Friendly Store Visits to LA Video Games.

My hope is to provide a quiet, welcoming environment where individuals and families can enjoy video games without feeling rushed, judged, or overwhelmed.
